- What do you think the purpose of the paintball "capture the flag" game is?

I believe it is to show how you work together as a team and to learn how to use strategies that will help you win the game like Four did while picking his team.
ReplyDeleteI think the point of it is To look at team work and strategy and see how people work together as a team. Also I think it was good for there relationship as friends for her to grab the flag even though Tris did come up with the plan. Finally I think she was chosen not just because she is tall but because she still has some things to prove to the leaders so she doesnʻt get cut.
ReplyDeleteBut do you think Tris should have just let her take it? Would a true Dauntless member be selfless like that? (Just playing devil's advocate.)

DeleteI think that there would be some Dauntless who would do that Like ones from abnegation like her. Only because that is how she was raised so it really wouldnʻt be all that odd.
DeleteTris had came up with the idea of how to get the flag and she felt like she should let someone else get some credit for the win.

DeleteI don't completely agree with this because in the book it said that she did try to jump for it or at least that's what I got out of it. You could tell that she wanted to take the flag but her Abnegation came out of her and she realized that she should just let Christina take the flag so it didn't start conflict between them, and she had came up with the idea.

DeleteI think the purpose of the paintball "capture the flag" game is teamwork and strategy. They have to come up with a strategy to get the opponents flag and would most likely work as a team to get it. Although Tris came up with the strategy practically on her own and she is the reason they found the flag, I think she did right by letting Christina get the flag. One reason being Tris already did her "showing off" why not let somebody else feel good about themselves. Another reasoning is like Tris mentioned in the book, she isn't going to be the one getting the dirty glares from the other team, Christina is because she is the one who has the flag in her hand.

DeleteI think the point of paintball capture the flag was to exercise strategy and team work. I think Tris should let Christina get the flag because she isn't the one getting dirty glares and because everyone should get their fair share of showing off.

DeleteI think the purpose of the paintball game was to learn strategy and work on their team work. How can you protect the city if you can't strategize a plan and work together? Oh, yeah... you can't. I think that it shouldn't really matter who grabbed the flag as long as they were on your team. I mean why fight? Like Lincoln once said " A house divided against itself cannot stand." Neither can a playful team and definitely not soldiers. Though without Tris's quick planning Christina might have even had a chance to actually get the flag.

DeleteI believe that the author had Christina grab the flag to show that she was jealous of Tris because it was her idea and she wanted to show that Christina was jealous of Tris and you can kind of tell because she is a snob to Tris when she went to grab the flag.
